Katie Rowley Jones (born c. 1978[1]) is a musical theatre actress best known for her portrayal of Nessarose in Wicked.

Early life and education

Rowley Jones was born in Cambridge and grew up in North Hertfordshire. She received a B.A. (Hons) degree in law from the University of Nottingham in 2000.[2][3] She began her professional training at the age of 22, studying musical theatre at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA), from which she graduated in 2001.[1]

Career

Rowley Jones is best known for originating the role of Nessarose in the London production of Wicked. Performances began September 27, 2006, following previews from September 7. She played her final performance on June 7, 2008 and was replaced by Caroline Keiff.[4]

She recently originated the role of Sister Mary Robert in the London production of Sister Act. Performances began June 2, 2009, following previews from May 7. The show closed on October 30, 2010.[5]
